Tributary to Gwynns Falls at Kingsbury Road Stream Restoration
Completed in 2021 for Baltimore County, MD

The Kingsbury Stream Restoration project included almost 2,500 feet of the upper section of Gywnns Falls, a large stream that has its headwaters beginning in Reisterstown, then travels throughout Baltimore County and Baltimore City and flows into the Chesapeake Bay. The project included reconstructing a concrete and stone outfall and spillway, removing invasive species, restoration of several acres of wetland and restoration of the stream using stone and woody structures. With close coordination with Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and the engineers, WSP, MLS was able to complete this project under budget and ahead of schedule while saving multiple trees and minimally impacting the surrounding neighborhood.
